About Course Accreditation Sessions

About the Session

ICAgile accredits courses against internationally-recognized Learning Outcomes (LOs) and assesses the design of the course to ensure high-quality learning experiences for course participants.

Duration: 3 Hours

Price: $3500 (USD)

Who Should Attend:  1-2 participants who can speak to the following:

  • How the course covers ICAgile’s Learning Outcomes
  • Course Design and how the course will provide an engaging learning experience in its intended delivery environment(s)
  • How learners will be assessed for certification

The accreditor will assess whether the course meets all required rubric items to become ICAgile-accredited. If there are no gaps identified, you can walk away the same day with a successfully accredited course.

If changes are needed in order to accredit the course, these can typically be addressed with your accreditor asynchronously. Course Accreditation must be successfully completed within 6 months of the initial session.

Instructor Authorization in the Course Accreditation Session

One or both course designers may be invited to complete their Instructor Authorization during the session if time allows and they meet eligibility criteria.

What to Expect

The session participants will be asked to present and answer questions throughout the session, allowing the ICAgile accreditor to achieve the following:

  1. Determine that the course content covers all LOs for the relevant certification.
  2. Evaluate the flow and structure of the course design to ensure it meets the overall guidelines for good learning experiences for the given delivery method(s).
  3. Ensure that the accredited course material maps to the relevant ICAgile LOs. This allows ICAgile to ensure a consistent foundation for course participants globally.
  4. Verify that the course includes a method to assess knowledge acquired during the course as a criteria for certification. For remote delivery, be prepared to describe the electronic artifact produced by students which the instructor may use for evaluation and feedback at the end of the class.
  5. For remote delivery in modules that span a number of weeks, include how you will track which modules and activities participants have completed.
  6. Conduct Instructor Authorization (if applicable).
