Instructor Authorization(s) in a new Course Accreditation Session

At the accreditor's discretion and time permitting, one or both of the course designers may be invited to complete their Instructor Authorization during the Accreditation Session. Course designers who wish to be authorized should come prepared to complete their teaching demonstration (please refer to the instructor rubric for details).

Some examples of when the instructor authorization can not be completed are if there is not enough time remaining in the session, if there are significant changes to the course materials required, if the course designer has not passed a Professional Coaching Demonstration for courses where that is required, or if the course designer is not prepared to complete their teaching demonstration.

If the Authorization is not completed in the initial Accreditation Session for any reason, then a separate Instructor Authorization Session will be required. Instructor Authorizations are not conducted in any Course Accreditation follow-up session.

As a reminder, the Accreditation Session is limited to one or two attendees only, where all attendees should be able to confidently speak to the course design, layout, and objectives.

Instructor Authorizations are not conducted in any Re-accreditation Session.
