Prepare for instructor authorization

In addition to scheduling your session, please do the following:
  1. Review the Course Accreditation Matrix. Please request the completed course accreditation matrix from your organization for the course you want to be authorized to teach. It is the instructor’s responsibility to review the completed matrix and course materials prior to the session.
  2. Review Rubrics. Please review the instructor rubric
  3. Schedule Your Session. All sessions are conducted via Zoom video-conference and include screen sharing, audio, and video. ICAgile will record the session for auditing and archiving purposes. Learn more about scheduling.
  4. Bring All of Your Course Materials. Be prepared for "show and tell" with all of your course materials.
  5. Be Ready to Teach the Course. New instructors should come prepared to deliver a 10-minute segment of the course material. Come with a section in mind that best showcases your training and facilitation skills, but know that your accreditor may ask you to deliver a specific section.
ICAgile highly recommends that each instructor co-train with an authorized instructor prior to attending a session. If you have previously completed the teaching demo, you will not be asked to complete it again without prior notification.
  6. Be Prepared to Show your Course Remote Environment and Tools. For courses delivered remotely, instructors will be asked to facilitate an exercise using the remote tools intended for the design of the course. Although all sessions are initially scheduled on Zoom, the accreditor will expect to see the design, and experience its facilitation, in the environment the course is intended to be taught. Member Organizations must provide access to all remote tools for all session participants and must ensure that all the setup for the course is complete prior to the session.
