1. Help Center
  2. Expert Certification
  3. Earning an ICAgile Certified Expert (ICE) Designation

Prerequisites to earn an ICE certification

Candidates for an ICAgile Certified Expert designation must hold the two knowledge-based certifications in a given track before earning the corresponding ICE certification. As an example, a candidate for the ICAgile Certified Expert in Agile Coaching (ICE-AC) must hold the Agile Team Facilitation (ICP-ATF) and Agile Coaching (ICP-ACC) designations before earning the ICE-AC.

Some Accredited Expert Programs require applicants to hold the prerequisite certifications before attending the AEP program, while others provide a path to earn the prerequisites as part of the AEP experience. Contact your prospective AEP provider for more information.

ICAgile does not require that ICE candidates hold a foundations-level certification (i.e. ICP or ICP-BAF) as a prerequisite to earning Expert certification.
